Meshek joined DeSanto Centre for the deaf in 2025 having never attended school.
In his first month alone, he began learning at a remarkable pace, gaining confidence and finding his place within the school community. Daily routines, consistent instruction, and strong relationships have transformed Meshek’s experience from isolation to inclusion.

At DeSanto Centre for the Deaf, these goals are embedded in our mission to expand opportunity and improve quality of life for deaf children and young adults in Southern Province, Zambia, through education, nutrition, inclusion, and long-term community partnership.
